About Us
The Panhandle Federal Credit Union was founded in October 1957 by a group of employees of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe railroad. What started with 131 members, Panhandle Federal Credit Union to date has around 4,300 members and growing. As the only full-service credit union in Sumner County, we pride our self in taking care of our members in every capacity possible.
In June of 2018, Panhandle Federal Credit Union merged with W.M.M.H. Credit Union in Winfield, Kansas. With the merge, our field of membership now welcomes anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Sumner, Cowley, Chautauqua, or Elk Counties. We also welcome healthcare employees and their families in Butler County.
